Make this bright and cheerful, yet easy crocheted dishcloth to spice up your kitchen space and make drying the dishes more fun! I will give you step-by-step instructions to make a dishcloth of your own. And the best part...it is quick and should not take more than an hour or two to make.
You only need a few items to get started...a medium-sized yarn (I use Sugar 'n Cream brand...since these are small, I usually need 2 bundles of yarn) and a 5 mm crocheting hook. I prefer to make dishcloths with blends of colors, so if you like the same, choose a colorful yarn.
Begin by crocheting 40 chain stitches. Then single crochet 38 rows. You are likely to need a second bundle of yarn...I will show you how to change out the yarn and hide in yarn tails to make your dishcloth flawless. Once you have single crocheted 38 rows, border all four sides of the dishcloth with the single crochet stitch, making sure to tie in all yarn tails. I single crochet three times into each corner stitch for a smoother edge. Lastly, hide any final yarn tails into the dishcloth by weaving into your stitches. Cut off any excess yarn tails that you can still see, and you are done!!!
Crocheted dishcloths make great housewarming gifts but are also nice to keep for yourself! Hope you enjoy!
