When I learned to crochet, there was no internet. I only had a few books with crocheting patterns, and nothing made sense to me. I hated it. I avoided it. I wanted to learn, but the thought of having to read through boring, abbreviated lessons turned me away from crocheting for years.
That changed when my aunt took the time to show me how to crochet basic stitches. Since then, I've been unstoppable, crocheting whenever I have the chance. It might be while I drink coffee, watch a movie, or listen to kids screaming in my ear. It is super relaxing, and I don't think I'll ever stop.
Here are some very basic lessons. I will teach you how to crochet, just like my aunt once did for me. And just remember that everyone starts somewhere. Don't get too frustrated if you don't get it the first time. It will come eventually!
