Learn How to Knit

Growing up, I remember trying to learn to knit and then failing. Over and over and over again. I just could not get it. And I think it was mostly because I did not give it the time required to really grasp it. I would learn to knit or purl and then not touch a knitting project for a few years. Yes, years! These unfinished projects would collect dust until I finally threw them away or unwound the yarn for something else.

Last Winter, my husband and I moved to Pennsylvania, and being a first-time stay-at-home mom, I was bored out of my mind. It was too cold to go 10 degrees...and I needed something to get my brain working as I watched the kiddos all day. I decided that I was really going to get the hang of knitting. So I began knitting. And I knitted the day after that and the day after that until it became second nature. I got to the point that I could knit without having to look at my stitching, and then I knew I had finally gotten really good.

So my knitting story is not like many. I did not start from scratch. But my knitting lessons are designed to really teach it from scratch so that anyone can get it. I hope you find your knitting soul like I did!
