5 Easy Mason Jar Christmas Gift & Decor Ideas

Updated: Feb 18, 2019

Make these 5 little Christmas-themed mason jars with me! They make amazing Christmas gifts and decor. First I am making a marshmallow snow globe, followed by jars with spruces & berries, candy canes, hot chocolate mix, and fairy lights.

Difficulty Level: Beginner

Project Time: 30 minutes

Marshmallow Snow Globe

You will need scissors, Christmas ribbon, small pieces of spruce (or Christmas tree), a mason jar and lid, tiny snowman, mini marshmallows, and a hot glue gun. Fill the mason jar ~1/5 full with marshmallows, place the snowman onto the top of the marshmallows, and add a few extra marshmallows around the snowman to hold in place. Finish by tying Christmas ribbon into a bow around the neck of the jar and gluing spruce onto the lid top. Cut off excess ribbon.

Berry & Spruce Jar

Okay, this one is my favorite!!! You will need twine, scissors, a mason jar and lid, red berries, and small pieces of spruce (or Christmas tree). Place berries and spruce into the jar, and finish by tying a bow around the neck of the jar using the twine, cutting off any excess.

Candy Cane Jar

Candy canes make Christmas magical. So the next one is a must! You will need Christmas ribbon, a mason jar, small pieces of spruce (or Christmas tree), 8-10 candy canes tied together near the top with a rubber band, and scissors. Place spruce pieces, and then candy canes, into the jar, finishing off by tying Christmas ribbon in a bow around the neck of the jar. Cut off excess ribbon.

Hot Chocolate Mix

Yum…hot chocolate! You will need twine, 3 packages of hot chocolate, mini marshmallows, 2 cinnamon sticks, a mason jar and lid, and scissors. Pour hot chocolate mix into the jar, followed by marshmallows and cinnamon sticks. Tie a bow around the neck of the jar using twine, cutting off any excess.

Fairy Lights Jar

You will need Christmas ribbon, mason jar and lid, small pieces of spruce (or Christmas tree), scissors, and fairy lights. Place spruce into the jar, followed by the entirety of the fairy lights (including battery pack). Tie ribbon around the neck of the jar, and cut off excess.
