DIY Christmas Gift Box Decorations

Updated: Feb 18, 2019

I am all about handmade gifts and wrapping because of the coziness they bring out during the holidays. Make your own Christmas gift box with me in minutes! I love the look of plain, brown boxes combined with shiny red ribbon; it gives presents the rustic, yet modern, look that is so popular right now. And they are sooooo much fun to make!

Difficulty Level: Beginner

Project Time: 10 minutes per box

To begin, you will need a few items: Hot glue gun, scissors, red wire ribbon, plain brown box (I bought a 6-pack at Michaels for $10).

What to Do:

Cut ribbon that is long enough to wrap across the top of the box and ~1 inch under the left and right sides of the lid. Then glue in place.

Cut another ribbon long enough to wrap ~1 inch under the back bottom and under the front side of the lid. Glue in place. You should be able to open and close the box when you’re done.

Create a bow and glue it on…you’re ready to fill your Christmas box with goodies!
