I love...love...love to make blankets, especially as weather turns cold. Sitting in a comfortable chair, drinking coffee, wrapped in the blanket I'm making is my ideal hygge. And with three small children and friends with babies, I feel like I am always making another baby blanket.
Difficulty Level: Beginner
Project Time: 4-5 hours, probably a little longer if you're a true beginner
12-14, 3.5 oz skeins Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn (link provides 6 pack) in little petunias
What to Do:
Chain stitch 68.
Double crochet 7, skip 2, double crochet 7, double crochet 3 in 1.
Repeat 4 times per row.
Crochet to desired length. I crochet 46 rows in the video, but this is a super big baby blanket that will do just fine if shorter.
Single crochet a border around the blanket, tying in yarn tails as you go.
Care: Machine wash, tumble dry low
I have made each of my kids a blanket with this yarn and often find myself snuggling up in them. They are so soft and warm and perfect for the harsh Pennsylvania winters. This is definitely my blanket of choice and I hope will be yours too. Thanks so much for reading!
